The World's Smallest Horse

Last Friday, the 23rd April 2010, what's thought to be the world's smallest horse was born, in Barnstead, New Hampshire, USA at a farm named Tiz A Miniature Horse Farm.

Einstein was born weighing just 6lb (2.7kg) and standing just 14 inches (35cm) tall from the floor. This tiny horse is set to steal the crown for the title of the world’s smallest mare from the current champion Thumblelina who holds the title at the height of 17.5 inches

Einstein's breeders at Tiz A Miniature Horse Farm are more than confident that the tiny horse is small enough to be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records, and have now uploaded footage of the horse has now been put onto YouTube with the caption 'The Smallest Horse In The World'.

Einstein is physically very much in proportion looking similar to a normal sized foal, and as Rachel Wagner, one of Einstein's co-owners, who features in the YouTube video, said: "He is a very perfect looking little boy".

See Einstein in all his teeny glory in this video.
